Hagwons

Every Korean knows or goes to one of these places. These places are like private lessons teaching many subjects. Koreans are mad about these places. The parents send their kids hoping that they learn something useful. Hagwon was meant to be something that help students improve their studies but is it worth paying 1000 dollars for some more education? There are 100 and thousands of hagwons in Korea. After school, most kids go to hagwon wishing to learn more things. Hagwon’s goals are to help the student’s education however it turned out to be more of a business. There are many fake teachers these days in hagwons. Because there are many people who go to hagwon, the teachers earn a lot of salary. Even though you go to hagwon, you cannot get a full education like how school does. Hagwon’s are a place that forces you to study so that you could succeed. You cannot depend everything on hagwon because it is the student’s decision if to do well or not. Its not like hagwon is going to send you to a good university. If you could study at home with full concentration, it could be better than the education than hagwon. In addition, when you go to university, you cannot depend on hagwon. You have to practice studying by your self. It could be sometimes useless if there is lot of kids that means more distractions.
